Dylan Lee

Pianist Dylan Lee began studying piano at the age of four with his mother, Ying-Chien Wang. During his youth studies, he won countless awards and competitions as a solo artist, including the Baroque, Contemporary, and Theme Festivals from the Music Teachers’ Association of California, as well as the Branch Honors and State Honors after his outstanding achievements in both the Advanced level and Panel Advanced Certificate of Merit levels.
Dylan is currently studying under Dr. Lorna Griffitt for solo piano, under the chamber music instruction with Sarah Koo, and collaborative studies with Nina Scolnik. He has received a masterclasses from Jeanette Louise Yaryan(2023), Sarkis Baltaian(2024), and Hans Boepple(2025), all of whom have praised him for his technical abilities.
Dylan traveled to Italy to participate in the Orfeo Music Festival in July 2023, winning second place overall in the festival competition. Dylan participated in the GOCAA international competition simultaneously(2023-2024 season), a member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation. Competing against professionals worldwide, he scored top rankings in both the first and second rounds. Dylan was awarded the bronze medal after performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, K. 467 under the direction of conductor Dr. Dean Anderson in the final concerto round. Following the competition result, Dylan was invited to perform in the 2024 awards ceremony and concert at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in San Diego.
In the summer of 2024, Dylan won first place in the Golden Classical Music Awards, Grand Prize Virtuoso Barcelona, and Grand Prize Virtuoso Salzburg competitions. He received invitations to perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Palau de la Musica Cantata of Barcelona, and the Solitär Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Dylan is also an established collaborative artist and has accompanied countless singers who have won prestigious vocal competitions and awards. He has accompanied twelve singers, all of whom won awards, in the voice division of the 2024 GOCAA International Music Competition. He is also a large-scale accompanist and has served as the piano accompanist for the New Orange County Children’s Choir Ensemble Group for the past decade. The group performed in Vienna and Salzburg in the summer of 2023. Dylan has traveled with the choir in June 2025 to compete at the World Choir Games in Denmark, winning Silver in their category. Dylan has performed in numerous venues and centers, including the Irvine Barclay Theatre, Winifred Smith Hall, Richard Nixon Library, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Carnegie Hall(Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage).
